monitor broke

i hav a TFT monitor that has all of a sudden stopped workin it turns on for a couple of seconds then just turns its self onto standby. other monitors work on my pc so its def the monitor that summets wrong with can anyone tell me how i can fix this

TFT's really arent worth fixing for the hassle.

and tft's are very dangerous. So yea I would not open it up unless you are not worried about getting electrocuted.

Have u tried to hold up a flashlight against the screen? As H-Sauce said, its pretty dangerous, but if u see stuff with when flashlight is held up against it, that only means that the CCFL lights are dead and can be replaced for about 20-30$ depending on the most reputable site you go to.

I have a 17"moitor that works ill give it to you for a couple dollars my dad really REALLY wants to get rid of it...maybe $10 PM me if interested

You can only get electrocuted if your taking the monitor apart and it is still plugged in. Wait 5 minutes before taking apart a monitor. (I got zapped before)
