!! Big PROBLEM !! PLEASE HELP!

I have no clue, but I went over to my opened controller today and saw this.



How do I get the battery contact back onto the board?  I am scared that the controller is useless now.  Please help.

easy to fix if you have a soldering iron do you? if so the take the battery contact that is loose and place in the hole above the silkscreen numerial J9 with spring face like other one and heat pad undernieth so solder melts and add a little solder.

I don't even know.  I had my 360 controller open last night.  This morning I went over to it and saw this.

Solder it...probably the easiest thing in the world... also, common sense.

Do you use batteries or a recharge pack? It's an easy fix, but not necessary if you don't use batteries. The recharge packs don't use those posts.

I use batteries.

I cant get it back into the hole.  The hole is too small.  Any ideas?  Is there an easy fix for this?

Put some hair around the hole.


Seriously though, clean off the solder on the end of the post. Then, reheat the solder around the hole while pushing the post back in.

didnt you see my post this happened to me and I just forced it back in then resoldered it!!!

I got everything working.  Half following what you said.  I got rid of all the solder on the exact opposite side of the board(the ground point).  Then I followed what you did.  After, I flipped over(looking at front now) and put some flux on that point.  I then threw some solder on there and its good as new.

Haha thanks. Do you guys know which diagram to follow old style controller 3 wire kit? I did the second 3 are diagram in the xbox tutorials section but the button just acted as a single fire shoot button. Any ideas?
