Guess what
« on: September 21, 2008, 03:20:09 PM »
Successfully dual booting OSx86 10.5.2 Kalyway (updating later) and Vista on my m1530 ^_^ Going out to get a wireless usb adapter soon so I can have internet in OS X though since the beta IntelPROWireless 4965agn kext causes OS X to crash. =[ It's so awesome though.

I'm pissed though, I backed up my FF profile, music, pics, vids, hacks, cracks, keygens, Photoshop stuff, iTouch themes and stuff, my computer stuff, my /b/ folder, and my pr0ns. LOL. All backed up on mom's iPod Video. Guess WHAT! I got my music all off, THEN THE IPOD WENT CORRUPT. >_> I'm so pissed. I lost EVERYTHING ON THERE except my music. =[

But I'm downloading the iTouch sdk and I'm gonna try to learn obj -c and develope some apps ^_^ I doubt I'll get to it though.

iTouch SDK.
My first hopefully-gonna-happen project is a simple alarm app that plays songs when it goes off. I can't find one anywhere, so why not ATTEMPT and fail at making one? LOL.

I'm buying a 200gb 2.5" sata drive from my friend at school tomorrow, and then I'll pick up a sata>usb enclosure. I'll partition it and have it set for files/time machine/vista backup.
I also picked up a linksys usb wireless adapter, not knowing i need to install drivers when I first install from my 10.5.2 kalyway disk. I'm booting into osx now to try to make it work...AFTER I fix my laptop ps2 touchpad and keyboard because updating to 10.5.5 killed them. =[

I'm hoping to make my first application an alarm clock, much like the apple one, but it will play music files instead of beeps. (Meant for iPod 2g which is what I have. Just a personal app since I have the free kit).

Just gotta learn Obj-C

Didn't work. Trying to go from 10.5.2 -> 10.5.3 -> 10.5.4 -> 10.5.5 later on. That might work. I read someone did that and it was fine.

WOO. Too bad.

I used the Kalyway combo update and kernel patch and went from 10.5.2 to 10.5.3, used the apple delta update to 10.5.4, and I'm gonna stay on 10.5.4 for a bit before backing up and trying for 10.5.5. I just wanted to be on at least 10.5.4 for the SDK. :D I'm so excited. I also bought a 200gb hdd so I'm gonna work on that later, use the osx install disk to image my partitions, then restore them onto my 200gb hdd :D

YAY!

Still no wireless on os x though. That's fine, I have my iTOUCH 2G for internet if I need it =D
...and another laptop here. XD
