R Trigger not working. Please help
« on: October 02, 2008, 01:53:51 PM »
I was doing a rapidfire mod today.  I am using the diagram for rapidfire on triggers for the new style controller.  I had everything wired, but when I tested it, the RT button didn't work.  Neither did rapidfire.

Anyone know why the RT button isn't working?

...Where did Winterz post in here?
I think you've gone blind.

Also, ALL rapidfires except the no chip uses a PIC.
That in no way helped us.

Ah, sorry.  I meant you PSPkicks.  Can you explain your previous post?  I have to get this working ASAP.

Well, it's as clear as it could get...
Bridged connection, desoldered pin, etc..
As I said, it could be a bridge connection on the 3 trigger pins, you could've desoldered a pin, etc., or you may have your rapidfire wired wrong.
We can't help really without pics or more specific info.

Sorry dude that’s not correct. The 555 timer is not a PIC. Mikes chips are PIC

By definition, a PIC is= A PROGRAMABLE interrupt controller.

The 555 is a logic timer, there is no way to program the 555 chip, NONE. The 555 reacts differently to the different components attached to it.

Therefore this was a valid question, however I expected him to tell us which pic he was using, and this, as you previously stated, will still not be enough info to properly diagnose the problem.

please give more info or post some pictures of your wiring
