10k pot for 555 timer sleeper help

what im asking is which hooks on that picture connect to which wires/pins?

WOW dude, that is way wrong. that part is like two inches long. the pot you need is a micro pot part number 271-282 at radio shack, threre are three terninas, use two the bottom and one of the top. wire it where the 22k resistor is between 2&7 pins. for the most control. I did not like this though. put the pot in temporaraly adjust it where you like it, check the resistance and match the resistance with the desired resistor. that is what I did.

(search radio shack website part number, so you know what to look for at the source)
