Hey all...
I didnt really know where to post this so i posted it here well anyway
I dunno if I should get a new silver psp 3000! on tuesday or a psp slim white
reasons for 3000 include:
its a freakin new psp to expirement with
built in mic
better lcd
i could try hacking it
its new:)
and its complete different and i could be one of first people to mod it

reasons for slim:
Plenty of mods already done
plenty of mods i could choose from
I already have idea for mods in mind(blue or red scheme)(i.e. blue buttons blue triggers blue leds and blue ring or all those red(also trim))
Parts to reeplace easily if i break em

PLEASE post a reply telling me your choice or answer the poll...or both i really cant decide

get the PSP Slim 2000. look at the TA-88 v3 motherboard. not hackable yet. and may not ever be, BUT i never under estimate the p0w3r of Dark_AleX. the 3k a 90% chance of not being hackable

i think it depends on what you want to do with your psp, Yes the psp 3000 is new and has a better screen and a mic, but you can't hack it. you won't be able to run your games on an iso/cso format, play homebrew or anyother program that needs CFW for that matter. if your not the sort of person that uses these facillities, then get the 3000 version, i'm sure some of the hardware mods such as leds triggers and internal memory mod (the photofast or direct solder mods should be fine) but there is more support here for the Slim if anything were to go wrong.

I'll be getting the 3000 whe it becomes hackable but un till then it's all about the slim, plus i've heard the led connections are the same as the slim so in theory you could fit that screen in a slim, but this is just a theory, there might be some extra support given by the new mobo to support the extra colours the screen provides.

by modding I'm sure he means hard mod. leds, speakers, and such

to avoid a brick, don't do anything stupid that COULD brick it.

Psp Bricks and, well, most other bricks come from software corruption and missing files, etc.. You cannot brick something by hard modding it.

No matter how the votes go it's still your decision.

The votes might help you to think about what to get but in the end you will get what you want and not the PSP that has the most votes.

Anyways regardless of what PSP you get I would suggest to go for the Slim PSP2000 because if you think about it the new PSP has nothing really special about it.

The current PSP2000 screen is already GREAT so who cares about the new screen that's a little better.

The built in mic is cool but you can put 1 in the Slim PSP2000 yourself.

PSP3000 might not even get hacked so if you use Custom Firmware your taking a big risk.

I'd probably go for the slim.... Or maybe wait until christmas to see if the 3000 is hacked yet. If it is i'd get it, and if not, I'd get a slim.

i will get a 2000 and mod the hell out of it then sell it, keep money for a while until 3000 is hacked and then mod one of those

now its time form me to come up with mods hows this sound
star wars psp-replaced battery cover with all white
blue color triggers with blue sound reactive leds
blue buttons ALL(being key word) sound reacive(or maybe fading?)
blue leds in speaker holes sound reactive
blue trim custom painted by yours truly or buy blue case off of dx and steal da trima nd sell it
blue umd ring of light(and metal ring) 10(yes folks 10 )blue fading lights off fadar deluxe
also blue leds in screws by usb...i need jumbo to give me directions on this

Like the sound of that, hope goes well mate! At least once your done and the 3000 is hackable, you can sell the slim for a good price.
