DO NOT DO THIS.

Making your own chargers for such things is VERY dangerous and batteries can explode!
DON'T continue with this project. PLEASE don't.

Making this will void your Apple Warranty.

Stop being so damn cheap, and pay the bloody $80

Or just go up to a teck store and if they have a macbook setup just ask if you can use the charger to test if your macbook works  :hifive:
At least that is how I would do it.

Thanks for the sig dhuvrock2000

You are arguing. Just leave this thread and play with your mac and be happy and ignore him.

Making your own charger is perfectly safe, as long as it is the correct amps and voltage.

No, im saying that if you have the Laptop, how can you loose the charger? And also, i'd never risk making something and plugging it into my MBP.

And from now on, the take to store to charge trick wont work, the new MB's use an 85 Watt Charger AFAIK.

ive used both 80 and 60 watt chargers for my mbp. and if you are gouing to make a charger it needs to be well tested before plugging it in anyware and then when u do plug it in put it on a trip plug or surge protector - try buying a broken one off ebay and see what makes it tick

You shouldnt, a 65 Watt Charger (MBA/MB) Isnt strong enough to charge the battery.
