PSP issues

ok i know somewhere in this forum there probably a link or something for what i need to do
heres the problems with the PSP-1000

the D-pad 70% of the time wants to go left by itself and the right speaker doesn't work
sad thing is i got it used from EbGames a year ago and never noticed this still after the firmware flash
but i know that wouldn't cause it to do that
any info would be helpful
