NDS Lite Messed Upped Top Screen, Not Cracked Just Some Gray Lines

I got a DS Lite from a friend and he told me if i can fix it it's mines, so yeah it got the little g.. lines that are Grey and the come on every time when u turn it on and they stay there i tried opening it and checking the ribbons but nothing here is a pic:



can u guys help me?

I think the screen is either shot or the ribbons aren't in all the way.

It could be that the ribbon is too bent to use anymore.
