download songbird,
its a browser that acts like a proxie, so it bipasses every firewall b/c the firewall thinks its just a program, i run mine off my usb so you dont have to worrie about getting caught dling at school... plus songbird doesnt have a history, so they cant see what you have been to.. if that doesnt work, run a linux off your flash drive so you can do anything on there, and save anything on there... i suggest slax... its only 200mbs and free, and saves everything on the usb..! i am the master at bipassing any firewall...
plus i have been hacking for 3 years so i know how to get past anything!

wat do u mean ??? yes i booted into linux (i am not a n00b lol) the thing blocking the sites is a network based url filtering service it doesnt run on the computer... it runs on the network!!! so i have to take it down by network means anything local doesnt work....

thanks chase for this sig =)

Same deal with me.
And, I guess your school isn't that...good/strict. Here at my school if you use a proxy to bypass filters then you get banned from using the school laptops and you're school account gets shut down until you're allowed back on. Oh, and no sing your own laptops either (this is why I hacked the router and got the wep key and gave it out to people, we all use the internet on our iTouches whenever we want).

I'd say the best thing to do is just not bother messing with anything, since you can get in trouble.

By the way, to the person who said linux........that won't do anything.
Filters are network based and apply to whomever is on that network.

Some schools have programs to block certain other programs from running/installing.  You can use linux to run programs because it doesn't have any sercuity on it placed by the school, that's where it comes in (as a last resort )

LOL

You are a hacker because you can get past a bad school web-blocking system?
Hahahaha

Most Universities/Schools Tech staff have the ability to look at the screens of every single user of the network remotely.

Yes, dslitemodder. BUT, those programs that you can run on Linux still WON'T do anything, as url blocking and such is done over the NETWORK, not on the local computer.

NetOnSchool :P or NetStudent :P

pretty funny, blocks for those programs are easily made xD
almost everyone in my class when they log on they plug in their hard drive, and turn it on xD

There are ways to get around the filter but not if you can't run the program, that's where linux comes in

The only way around NETWORK filters are using proxies, which will get you in trouble in school.

our school doesnt care about proxies.... they just ask you to get off if they catch you, and its usually blocked the next day  :cry2:

i hosted my own proxy awhile back

1337tools.site90.net

its been running solid for almost 2 years now, woot! (the only reason is because its password protected, only 3 people in my entire school know it) so it doesn't get very much traffic, and the 3 people that know it are pretty smart/tech savvy that i doubt they'll ever get cought on it, cause we also use WindowHider, so we have hot keys to hide windows off the task bar and screen if a teacher walks by.....

PM me if you want username and password to my proxy, its under the "Services" Tab

Well that wouldn't work on most decent filters.

For example, Websense, Every single website is deemed guilty, until proven innocent.
Only once they have sat there, and clicked "approved" will anyone who uses the websense program be able to visit that site.

Every single new website is categorized as "Uncategorized" until they have either unblocked it, or moved it into a different blocked category.

Just use websenser. It can get around websense very easily. Just save it to your flash drive pop that bad boy in and you got your own proxy avoidance. At least that is what I do.

Proxy being key word.
Proxys get you busted.

Also, the best and so far only way I've found without using proxys...is to go straight to the IP.
Using cmd prompt (use at home if your school blocks it), ping the website you want to go to by typing in:
"ping www.websitenamehere.xxx" without the quotes, and xxx being the website extension.
That will get you an IP. Now, to bypass the filter, go into your browser and type:
http://IPyougothere
And you're in.

Again, it's just another proxy.
Also, Chinese people are blocked from like everything.

Schools use network filters, as I've said multiple times. That includes Wifi. Wifi is the network, just sent from an access point. (I guess the easiest way to explain it)
