OK all here you go,



So I finished the testing two days ago and did most of the install last night but here is the finished product. One of my PSP Slims with the trackball… All I can say is HOLY COW!!!!!  I have officially given up my Razor2 nub… Yup that’s right I said it. It’s smooth feels so comfortable and is not as bulky as it appears. I have used it to play a number of games but I don’t have a FPS yet, I’m going to have to borrow one from a friend tonight and report back and maybe even add to the video!

Thank god I tested out the pin configuration before I tried to install it or I would have killed someone. So as it stands this install took me about two hours to complete.


Cyber asked me to make a tut which I hope to do, but hopefully for your sake with the help of a breakout board, as you can see from the next picture if you can’t solder .5mm pitch then this mod wont work for you…

This is my test track ball it took 20 mins to solder up


And here is the real thing.. As you can see I used some sandpaper and sanded the right side but kind of rushed the install and forgot to finish…. I’ll go back and clean all of this up for the tut.









Give me a little more time to complete a kick butt video….

this should be more durable then the nub anyway, even the original nub, many a time have i caught it on my pants pocket when putting it away and having to end up re -tightening it because it came up and wasnt making good contact. this would just glide through

Very cool, I care for a woman with CP (cerebral palsy) and she would love that instead of an analog. Can you maybe make a tut for that? SHe has a hard time manipulating the analog stick for movement. WOuld love you guys if you could do a tut for a trackball for the left side. ANd where did you find such a small trackball? Looked for those last weekend with no luck. Thank You.

HI new here an I like to see a tut for this aswell an it looks like that is a black berry replacement trackball being used for the nub. anyways got a wireing diagram for hooking it up to the PSP?

you know your right.... I never do finish the things I say I will.. I do get busy but mark my words after I pass this cert test I will complete all the stuff I say I will... I owe it to the scene.... besides I like making sexy mods and tuts....


I will tell you however that with this mod as cool as it is it will not be a razor killer in FPS until 1.) I get time to make a chip to adjust how it sends pulses to the PSP. 2.) Get someone else to work on it as, well I'm super busy. Anyone want to help clean up whats left of my flooded office?....
