New Chrome psp casing
« on: December 03, 2008, 08:14:15 PM »
I have bought a chrome psp casing and I am just wondering how hard it is to install the entire casing being a first mod, besides hard modding a battery to make it pandora. Plz leave comments

It is really easy as long as you just take your time and be careful. I just put a chrome one on a customers psp just yesterday and it looked pretty good so good choice and have fun.

Difficulty rating is probably a 4/10 for a first timer.

Only thing i could suggest is to organize your screws, and make a mental note of how things fitted.
Another thing, a lot of tutorials found online suggest using an exacto knife. DO NOT use one. If you slip with it, you could very easily end up slicing through a cable/ribbon. I suggest using a #000 flat head screwdriver for prying, latching and unlatching.

you could also use a butter knife. ftat enough to use but it isn't going to cut up your psp or yourself.

I always use exact-o knife whatever its called to pry the lcd off.

other things i do with flathead screwdriver. and yes, i have slipped the exact-o knife sumtimes i was like  :fear: but it just scratched some plastic.

but butter knife is the best option i think.

I just use a small flat head for everything... Works very well.
