so yea i went to go defrag my pc about 5 min ago and it poped uuuup with a window saying something along the lines of

windows defrag needs at least 15% of memory to defrag
you are currently at: 4%

Yes I agree. Bud. Try Restarting your PC then try to Defrag. If that doesnt help Try Shutting down all programs but the Basics and if that doesnt Help Free up memory. I Defrag And compress the Registry and Optimize  my PC about Every Week.

do disk cleanup, delete temporary files, then try. when i did it on my computer it cleared up like 2gb of space on the HDD

Yes Yes. With the Words Memory I Figured RAM. But I haven't Seen that Problem show up. and With My A+ Book I haven't Read it either. Looks Like Im gonna head back for a Refresh.

having a prebuilt pc does not have much to do with it.

what you need to make sure you have:
an extra hard drive (ide or sata)
An ide or sata port depednding on the hard drive you want to put in
a extra molex or power cable
a slot for another hard drive
then just boot it up, format the hard drive an there you have it!(of course after you have the hard drive installed)


or you can go the simpiller route and just buy a external hard drive and plug it into a usb port.

it needs more space on the Local Disk. plugging in another wont do anything. it needs space to keep files somewhere before they are moved (physically on the metal disc) to an area of free space.

liek if i have 2 will my pc be able to pull for ex:

when ur in ohhh lets say
windows media player and if u wanna pull teh songs on ur media player to put on a psp

u right click find file location
and it goes top it on teh original hard drive...
BUT if i had a second harddrive with songs on it
will it be able too pull from teh other harddrive without a prob???

Bud There is a way to Do what you ask.. If you have it another HDD Formatted Right Plug it in as a Slave. your PC should Find it No Problem. It could be Read as Removable Storage Or it will be consider a HDD depending On how its Formatted . And yes you Could Pull Music/Other Files From it. Or have your Media Player of Choice Use it. I had A HDD Formatted to FAT 32 and It Held My Music and was Considered Removable Storage.
