Xbox 360 or ps3?

Ok guys I'm planning on getting a next gen system other then the fad wii.  I was planning on getting a ps3 because of the game mirror's edge, but I saw that the xbox 360 also has it.  So now I'm in a standstill of which one to get.  I know it's my choice in the end, but I would still like your guys opinions. So far both have most of the games that I want, except for the ps3 exclusive MGS4 and the xbox exclusive Halo 3. Both of them as far as I know are getting the new final fantasy game.

Ok so each system has it's own pros and cons. 
Ps3 (if I were to get one it would be 60gb no matter what)
Pros
-controller has built in rechargeable battery
-cost effective to change ps3's hard drive
-plays ps1/ps2 games (again if I'm getting a ps3 it's going to be 60gb0
-memory card slots
-HDMI
-Built in wireless
-Blu-ray
-Free online play
Cons
-Expensive ($400 at the least!)
-Games are expensive ($60 for a new game)
-Harder to find 60gb
-Huge (not so portable)
-Have to buy adaptor for ps2/ps1 memory card

Xbox 360
Pros
-Cheaper (I can get one for as little as $120 over here)
-HDMI
-Included wireless controller standard
-Plays original xbox games
-Easier to mod
Cons
-No built in Wireless
-No built in rechargeable batteries
-RROD
-Expensive hard drive replacements
-You have to pay to play online

The newest ps3 which is a 120 or a 140 giger is reverse compatible, but i would just get the 360 and keep my ps2 XD thats what i did and i love it.

yea a new game on both systems is 63 with tax here
bigger yes but it dosnt have the brick on a wire that goes out the back

u can use a ps2 aux for soun if u wanted

u can change the 60 gig harddrive to like 300gigs internal and 1 tb external

if u where to get the 80 id tell u to get 360
microsoft had to cut costs on the system so it dosnt have the mem card readers 2 usb's and no revers capat

i have both ps3 and 360
if its teh 60 go with ps3
and it has a built in blu-ray
which cost a goodload in its self
the ps3 has (i was told) the best blu-ray player in it

I have a 360. And Honest to god I am disappointed with with it.

Stick with a PC or PS3. Allot of Games for the 360 come on to the PC cheaper and free to play online

I disagree with the better online part, it's a bit easier to chat and join games, but the PS3's online is nearly flawless in terms of actual gaming

I say ps3 aswell, i got one myself since day one when released in europe and have had no problems at all. It has blu-ray which is the biggest pro, which you will in the future benefit from it more then now and you probably already know. Despite the fact that the ps3 online may not be as "great" as the 360, ps3 home is coming which looks pretty amazing. Both consoles are great consoles in their own way, but in my opinion he ps3 seems like a much reliable and sleek system. This is though just my opinion.

lol Yea It was Too Short and had  Bad Cheesy One liners. But Other than That It was enjoyable.
I like Them Both Played them Both alot. I like Them All PS3 Free online 360 have to pay. So with the Pros and Cons They Even Out.

Thanks guys for your opinions. it looks like I'm getting a ps3 then.  but who knows since the xbox 360 is so cheap I might buy both  .  What's the cheapest you guys think that I can get a 20gb or 60gb ps3?

dont get a 20 gig
it was the beta ps3

but the 20 would be cheaper but im not sure if it has all the options the 60 had.

the reason why I'm thinking getting a 20gb is that the only thing that the 60gb REALLY has over the 20gb is wireless. But that doesn't really do me any good because I don't play online at all. And as for the memory card slots I saw an adaptor online that gives the 20gb the ability to have card slots.  and I also get ps2 playback.  and it's a $100 less. that's why I was thinking about the 20gb.

I have both. I used the 360 more. It is a very friend oriented machine and xbox live kicks  compared to PSN. I'm sorry but its true. But, the PS3 can double as a nice computer and a good game console with Yellow Dog Linux or Ubuntu. So I like both.
