What's a 3rd gen led? Different brightness could be due to different MCDs, resistors, or just the fact that the camera makes them look bright.

Wow one is really bright, but the other is much dimmer. Probably wired them in series or something, with a low ohm resistor.

Oh just read the video description. I didn't before. I have no clue. I think it's really just the wiring though, because look at the description of their led mod on their site:

http://playurconsoles.com/shoppingcart/product_info.php?products_id=500

They say that this is special because there is no light when there is no sound, and they say that they designed this "new revolutionary circuitry". I have no clue how much truth is in this though.

ya, if theres no light when theres no sound they did ut differently. on the 1001, the leds are always on, since current is always flowing through the speakers. must have don it with a sound board, etc...

and maybe one brighter cause the other led isnt placed correctly ie. facing inwards

as i said the right one was 1st gen, and left one was 3rd gen. i read what bustingthejusting coped for me and it was a different circuit not what you said...oh well

My link is the service they were showing off. They use basically same videos/pictures. But I have no clue. I'll bet you 100 bucks though, that it was designed by AM, not whoever owns that site.

No its laohor86...  He is from Singapore excellent modder...

What could AM have designed that he stole? How to make LEDs brighter. Its called experimenting with different leds, circuits, sound amps and resistors not using the one that you are told. And it obviously worked very well.

Hey AM DID start PSP Modding but that was years ago, there are lots of people that do it and develop new cool things. PSPGEN has a razorX tut and we don't, but we made the board doesn't mean they stole it. We aren't the only PSP Modding site anymore...
Alot of people have basic modding knowledge..

This guy is pretty amazing.

You mean the guy who did the mod and ran the site? Yeah. I suppose it's really just the resistors he used/board... Anyway, he does seem pretty good at modding. I know we aren't the only modding site anymore. Pspgen AND Pspmod both have Razor X tuts, actually.

& I can't play comfortable with too much led, irritating my eyes,..

I don't think they r making them that much brighter the r just making them react better but IDK i think i am going to do a lil experiment on how to do this going to get resistors at radioshack today and some other lil things to get started wooooooooo

Ya RED and UV always look good it gives gaming systems this MEAN look i was going to do a psp like that a while back wit a rottweiler jewel but i never got to it LOL

But Ya RED and UV would be perfect i would suggest buying 3mm/5mm LEDs from radioshack so u don't have to wait and because its hard to find those colors really bright in 0603 or any SMD LED size

If u need any help i with that project just let me kno

ive bought 2 red and UV already .... was quite expensive in radioshack....
i have no idea where to solder everything lol. like from the amp to mobo.
and im almost done with the amp (sound mod) just have no idea if the wire on right 4th pin has to be negative or positive and also 4th pin on left . so if u could help me on that.
and 1st pin on left side is not used and 1 and 2  pins on right side are not used right.
