How good are these? Is it worth the upgrade?

they are pretty good. i installed 2 for a customer. they are loud, but he hasnt had the RROD for 6 months. they say that the fans increase airflow but 240 percent. and they are pretty cheap.

They also come in different color LED's to choose from.

i was looking on Total Console the other day and i saw the normal whisper fans (red,green,blue) and the Whisper Max which is a little more price wise but definitely worth the investment. with the Whisper max you can have either red green or blue led's in it and have it be faster than the original whisper fan. I bought one a couple days ago and hopefully it comes by Friday ^_^

I plan on doing the all black case mod with HDD all case and add the whisper fans green and the Vent LED's in green also. All when the warranty runs out though.

Where does the Nitro switch get mounted?

BTW if you plan on ordering The whisper fans get the "Whisper Max". reason being is that you do not have to go out and buy the extra elite adapter/hdmi adapter for the normal whisper fan.

Unfortunately i did not purchase the adapter and now i have to find out how to make one. :-(

simple elite adapter, just find a old pc fan with the 3 pin plug and wire like my pic.

I had some of these in one of my old xboxs. It didn't have a nitro switch though. I'm thinking of upgrading to a pair with them though.

Venom don't worry about the Ban thing, that was due to some xbox 360 software hackers and the only way Microsoft could ban them is to go into there 360 bios and see if anything is changed.In this case the power going to the DVD was a couple volts off lol.

So there's no need to worry.

I took pictures with my iphone of my 360 with the Whisper fans as well as the Core Cooler V2.

The pictures from my iphone don't look that great so after school tomorrow i am going to take some better ones and ill post some.

Sounds great, I can't wait to see the pics. Thanks for the info on the fans. Now I just need the warranty to expire, even though I will just do it anyways. I have to by the 120GB HDD first before any mods.

talismoon fans are awsome my 360 was given to wwith RROD and after installing these and the xcm core one its been fine for about a year now well worth it
