Asus 8.9" Eee

well im about to leave in 30 minutes to buy this computer http://www.target.com/ASUS-8-9-Netbook-Computer-Linux/dp/B001E1J1R2/sr=1-7/qid=1230667007/ref=sr_1_7/182-5051642-1735729?ie=UTF8&index=target&field-browse=1038598&rh=k%3Alaptop%20computer&page=1 but i want to know if its possible to upgrade its ram an if i can use a portable hard drive to store things on it since the hard drive is permantly buit in right? because i dont want to use a sd card to store things on thanks

External HDD - Yes, it has USB ports
RAM - Not sure about that model. Some models have the RAM soldered in.

Soldered in is permanent. Well, unless you want to desolder the chips and solder new ones on...I have the feeling it's the physical chips soldered on, not the stick.
I'm not sure whether that one has them soldered or not. Don't know how to tell either.

I was reading the reviews on the target site and this guy said he replaced the ram with a stick of 1Gb.
