To test a game for disk errors, really the only way to do it would be find a perfect working ps2 and stick it in. If it doesn't read, then you know your disk is bad somehow.

[Talking like this is just a habit really, picked it up in a forum roleplay of some kind years ago.  So, if there is an error on any part of the disc, the game would not load?]
