wrinkles in paint

so about a week ago, when painting my controller, the paint started to wrinkle. So i left it alone until today, then i sanded the wrinkles out, and threw a fresh coat of paint on. Then a few minutes ago, i noticed the paint was starting to wrinkle again, and there were blemishes everywhere in the paint. What do i do? sand it again?

sand it very good.
then apply a single layer of paint (not too much, just to cover up allmost the complete controller, so not too thick)

if that has dried, apply another layer of paint (again not too thick)


after that add some vernis (that clear kind of paint :P)

okay, i just added another coat of paint, it seems to look alot better. i probably will add a clear coat. i'll let you know what happens

You have to make sure you paint with many thin layers. One big layer will cause blotching, etc.

but then it doesn't come out all shiny! haha

If you want shiny do you  mean like reflective (Like a freshly touched up car where you can see yourself in the paint) or glossy? To get glossy, apply like 3-5 coats, however many it takes before it looks like it's evenly covered, wait 30 minutes or so between coats (or however long it states on your can of paint) and sand in between every coat too. That will give you a good, clean smooth finish. Sand one last time and top it off with a clear coat. For reflective, do the same, except you want it REALLY nice and smooth, so sand longer/more carefully, and then in the end, don't put on a clear coat, just sand it with really fine sandpaper to make it all matte, and get some rubbing compound such as ones for cars, and rub it all over your paintjob.

When I was doing my controller it wrinkled because I held the can in one spot for too long and there was too much paint. Either that or it might be too hot where your painting.

Sounds to me like your controller has oil spots on it. I would sand it all down, try to get all the paint off as much as you can. And wipe it down with PRE-CLEEN(get it at checkers,auto zone maybe wal-mart). let it dry up real good...then start with light coats of paint.Holding the can about 5 to 6 inches away ....and keep doing light coats till you are happy with your paint job. Let it sit for a day or two..then repeat with clear (light coats until desired look. GOOD LUCK
