i had el-wire built into a suite a few years back with different functions for it like flash, steady pulse. the project box for it was about the size of a ds or 330ml can of coke give or take (cant remember lol) and it fitted perfectly in the inside pocket of my safety jacket. i did have a video of it someware but i cant remember where lol and i might of deleted it as it was like 3 years ago that i did it for my gcse electronics class it was a saftey jacket that had a removable logo onn the back that was made out of el-wire so you just ripped one logo off and put up a new one if you wanted i had designs for horse wrideres, police, cycleists, walkers etc. it were pretty fun to do got an A* as well

Where do you get those invertors that size?

I found a store that sell el wire, and invertors, but the smallest invertor they have is like one half the size of the ones with CCFLs
