can someone explain

why when i fix the red ring it jumps from dashboard to red ring and i know i did it right with the mirror like cleaning and a smooth layer of thermal compound can anyone explain this to me cause im  :wacko:  :faint: :confused:

That's because the RRoD isn't permanently fixable and will always come back. Even fixing it the right way doesn't mean anything you know.
I think of it as a game of chance, but in the end you still lose.
