So yesterday,
i was at the local shopping center right
and there is this large pond, deepest part is about 4 feet
most of it is about 2 1/2 feet
well anyway.
me and 3 other friends decided to go walk on it for a while as we do every winter
and 1 of my "smart" friends goes to deepest part and was like "look at this,... WEEEEEE" and his legs fall in and i go over and pull him out while hes lolling
so then we go back to the shallow area for a while and some crazy local says look at me and start running across it and were like "wtf"
so then shortly after this some crazy guy drives by and said" WTF R YOU GUYS DOING,THAT

AINT COOL, THERE'S WATER UNDER THERE GET THE

OFF THE ICE"
and we are like...mkay and get off, then 1 minute later we get back on
so about 10 minutes later we hear w00p w00p and i said "oh hai police"
and a police comes out of his car running over to us and is like
GET OFF THE ICE, ITS NOT SAFE AND PEOPLE HAVE BEEN CALLING SAYING THAT THERE ARE A BUNCH OF

ON THE ICE AND THEY ARE WORRIED

now I live in a VERY busy city and there is crime about 24/7, wtf was this cop doing seriously, did he have nothing better to do than ruin a bunch of kids having fun?

What can cause hypothermia?

Yeah... Don't do it. I spent like, 3 hours skiing in like -20/-30 celcius weather, and now my toes are black, they hurt, and if I was out there for even longer, I could get really, really bad frostbite and even get amputation... Not good. You'd probably end up with forstbite and hypothermia if you were in there for 4 hours with your whole body. You'd be dead, actually.

reminds me of a urban legend I heard the other day.........I think probably there are cases of this happening, however I will leave it at urban legend since I just heard it from a friend:

so two guys decided to go canadian geese hunting somewhere in the northern section of north america. There was ice where they wanted to hunt, so they drove one of the guys brand new truck out onto the ice. They needed open water to get the geese to try to land where they could shoot at them. So naturally they brought a stick of dynamite out with them for the purpose of opening up the water. One of the guys puts a 40 second fuse on the dynamite, lights it and throws it as far as he can. Unfortanately the dog they brought with them to retrieve the shot geese, decided to fetch the stick of dynamite

naturally they knew that they didnt want it back so they started to shoot at the poor dog. The bird shot that they were shooting did little more then confuse the poor doggy and he and his stick of dynamite went and hid under that brand new truck I mentioned earlier. But dont worry tho, the poor little doggy didnt stay under the truck for very long, however he left his stick of dynamite there and...........BOOM! hahaha I think those guys had a bad day and cold walk home.

so the lesson here is leave your dog tied up when throwing dynamite.

thick socks and make sure your boots are insulated and properly seeled so they dont get wet inside
