Ds lite painting question

After sanding of the paint from my old ds and spray painting i decided not to paint it with the clear gloss. I do not want the paint to fall off, but i also don't want that clear gloss, shinny look. What can i use the get the same paint quality as the ds housing shells? I also slightly damaged the area on the top screen that surrounds the plastic things that protect the screws. What do you guys use to take them off with out damaging the ds or the plastic.
