hey guys/ girls?

i decided that i needed a new case because i'm getting the new gtx295
my current case doesnt have that good of an airflow, so it is necessary.
especially when i'm overclocking my E8500 to 5.00ghz (currently on 4.00 and becoming 60 degrees celsius)

so i decided to go for a decent case this time
The Lian Li PC-7FW

well i orderd it on a site where i buy almost all my stuff (www.hiq24.de -> german site, i live in the netherlands but the border is like 20km away :P and that shop is 10km away from the border in germany so i can get the parts myself

)

anyway after the order, i got an email. that they couldn't deliver the case
so i decided to go for the PC-60FW

They couldn't deliver that too!

then i replied if they could get me the PC-7F (thesame as the FW but without the window)
and if they couldn't deliver that they should get he the PC-60F (also thesame as the FW but no window)

A day later they replied and said that they orderd the PC-60F for me,
But i really want to get a window in it, so that will be some custom designing

I still need to draw some plans on where to put the window exactly etc.. but there will be a window in it!
i'm thinking of a small one on top

and a big one on the side (maybe ask dazzer if he could engrave me a special design on it

)
and a small one on the other side of the pc case, where the cables from the PSU come out of the PSU

maybe some of you have another idea?

Sounds cool dude. Hopefully it all works out. I would recommend finding a way to mount a bunch of fans on that case or maybee water cooling it with a radiator on top... that would look really cool.

well maybe a fan on top
but i've got enough fans here so :P
2x 80mm green clear fan with green leds
1x 120mm fan from scythe mugen infinity cooler
2x 120mm fan that i got with my recom zenith case
1x 80mm clear fan with blue leds that i got with my recom zenith case
and 1x a CPU Cooler Zalman CNPS9500 (special for Nforce motherboards)
and offcourse the Scythe mugen infinity cooler (don't use that one)

not all fans will be used offcourse xD

my current case is the recom zenith btw

Loose the 80mm fans go 120mm. It will reduce noise and improve air flow. And if you need help with cutting a window I posted a tute on how to install one.

I'll link it up when I get home

well a couple days ago i got the case

and a case for a friend :P
The lian li pc-60F and the Nzxt Hush

That was the hush

(and the first pictures also my Lian Li)

this is the power supply that i got for him

anyway now time for my case

i taped it

and immediately grabbed the saw

Results:

oh yeah check these nice usb ports etc.. and the power on and reset button

well i'm thinking of cutting an E with the metal i've got left from the door

the E from EVGA

and then paste that onto the window

in the Lower Left corner of the door on the side

UPDATEEEEEEE

I got my plexie glass

and tomorrow i will try and cut out the EVGA logo

i will cut out the black part

and then glue it onto the window
oh and the window will be clear

there is a protective foil on it atm!

MORE UPDATESSSS

I recieved the rubber for the sides

it is very thin

but that is ok, i don't want it to be really thick or long

and i decided to change my Logitech G15v2 :P from orange leds to green

they glow a little bit less then the orange ones, but it still looks good

i just replaced the (kinda big leds -> around 1.5mm by 0.5 or so) with 0603 smd leds which i normally use for psp's

now my keyboard matches my psp and my pc

here are the pics of my keyboard (taken with my iphone so sorry for the Quality)

2 for screen
2 for buttons next to the screen
and 10 for lighting the buttons
and 1 for each of the M buttons (top left)
and 1 for each of the Capslock Numlock Scrolllock indicators

so total incl indicators etc..

well

the plexie glass is glued

so tomorrow the glue will be dry :P and then i can see how sexy it looks :P and for some reason i don't want to build my pc in it already xD i want to mod it more !:O but i don't know what xD

no i think paint is a litte bit too late and too much to ask for me :P

i already glued the window in etc..

anyway i've got a small head (looks like alienhead) from venice
and i'm going to build that on the front of the case
in front of the fan

here are the pictures of the plexie glass finally

I used my dremel to cut down the face i got from venice

which you can see in this picture

i leveled it

because the back was lower and higher at certain places
you can see that in these pictures

and if i remove the bars on the front of the case and put the mask on the mesh panel you can see that it is still too high

so now it's flat. and painted it black
only need to redo the paint, just another layer will make it look better so

anyway here is how i want to position it

the 150mm fan behind the face will light up blue

that will make it look very different

i'll probably build the pc this weekend

because i'm getting my gtx280's (2 of them :P) probably on friday :P

and i don't want them in my too hot case xD ---> Recom Zenith. Not a good airflow :P
