360 rrod help

my freinds 360 rrod on him i told him to do the sync-eject bttn thing he got code 4142 does any one know what will fix this?

That means he has 0102 error code.
0102 Error in the "Digital Backbone" (CPU/GPU/RAM), this is usually caused by a cold solder joint between the GPU and the mainboard.
You can send it back if it still under warrenty or it can be fixed by the x clamp fix or reheating the chips using a heat gun.
