I've seen plenty of people use one of those. I have one question though. If you have it all ready how does the joystick feel? like is it smooth movement around or clunky like i guess? and compared to the normal joystick on the psp how easy is it to move?

its very smoooth movement oon screen (and sensitive too)but the nub itself it doesnt move very much at all soo itss weird compard to the other nub.

the nub goes the other way.
your pic shows it with the notch out in the lower right edge.
hold the nub in your fingures so its like a dimond.
now rotate it until the little square notch out on the stick is in the upper left edge of the diamond.

now you are holding it the way it should be instaled and triangle goes on the upper right post, O on the lower right post, X on lower left post and [] on the upper left post. and ground is any where on the metaal that isnt a post

middle posts are left empty

good luck to you, happy modding and be careful of the power switch while putting it together again, you'll see what i mean.

first yes i think it it could fit between the buttons but it would probably stick up quite a bit, you should make that desicion while your holding one in your hand you know what i mean?

second i have pictures but i dont think they'll help

this is where you put the wires on the board, upper red is /\, lower red is O, upper black is [], and lower black is X

or if your wire is too thick and you go from the top

notice in this photo and the photo above that the analog has a small little cut out of the stick where the nub would slide on, use that as your point of reference, in these pics i used yellow for X(bottom) and red for [](left) both /\(top) and O(right)  are white, triangle is on top and O is on the right

this photo shows the power board ground point in the left(its red, by itself)

those are the only pics i have, sorry

did you study the ones with the red and yellow wire?

all i can really do is try to explain it to you, when do you plan on being on line again?

i'll try to hook up with you in a private chat or something so i can walk you threw what ever you dont see clearly, although i think you may be suprised when you find out how simple it actually is.

or if your wire is too thick and you go from the top

i guess i should of just done this from the begining

do this:

Instead of this:

by the way if you cut the plastic nub flush and then put a square hole in it you'll end up with this:

notiice how it sits nice and low like the one on the left

thinking about doing dual nub mod with that ericsson joystick, and so i (suprise, suprise) have some questions about it...
-do i need to wire the ground point somewhere?
-is it possible to make it detachable/ re attachable?
-if i take it off for some reason, will the normal pad still work?

thanks in advance... ill tell if something else comes up.

want to tell me where i need to wire it?

...how dumb can one actually be? only now got my DX-board, and saw that there is so **** many places to wire it... oh, well... thought about doing mine hold activated anyway. all parts are together, and now i am searching for my old soldering-equipment... anyone wants a tutorial from this one?
