this is pissing me off. it works fine normally so i decieded to solder it strait to the back of the memory card holder but no matter how i do it it won't work so i put it back to normall and it worked. anybody have a clue why it would not work

Ya maybe something is shorting, or like Phen said your wiring is wrong? What happens when you try to use it? Does the memory light blink fast?, Because thats a sign that something is wrong with wiring usually. (Happened to me doing the Datel 4gb mod!)

the wiring is all good it's the right way when I turn on my psp the orange light blinks slow and the backlight goes on. Or sometimes the psp will start up but not the xmb it will freeze before it shows anything

the psp will also not load the xmb if you hold down the switch/button inside the umd door that tells it if there is a umd or not. It will load only the waves but no background or xmb until you release the button. I think that the psp is trying to load somthing on the memstick board but it can't because of the cr-3100 or a short. Therefore when it cannot load, it dosent know what to do next so it does nothing.
