[POC] 1 Component sound reactive Rumble!!!!!
« on: February 20, 2009, 04:57:07 PM »
I had this idea ever since I first tried folklords transistor method for Sr leds, mine is wired abit differently and uses a rumble from a phone. Reacts on peaks to sound. Uses 1 2n2222 transistor. Here is the vid.

Ahh, you got to love those phone pieces, nice dude
I believe they sell sound reactive viberating motors for the PSP, but whichever way thats cheaper is better I guess, I think Im going to take apart my broken phone to start testing this stuff out, more psp mods done with phone pieces lately :yess:
You going to put it in your psp or just use this as an example?

this was just a Proof of concept, show me where you can buy these. I know fOO did it with several Ic's. Im going to prolly put it in a psp sometime, I already tried it and when it is secured well to the psp it vibrates really well, almost as much as a phone.

That seems really reliable/useful.
Are you going to be releasing a tut?
Nice job

wow thats a nice little vibrator I will look into getting one, but that does not react with sound by itself and will need to paired with a mod like this.

prolly no tut, atm. I will post a circut diagram later today or tomoz.

Hmm, I thought it would if you just wire it with the speakers like you usually do with sound reactive LEDs, O well, guess a little more work cant kill

no way then It would be rummbling all the time, kinda like the direct SR leds are on all the time.

that would be annoying, the psp would probibly fall out of your hands
I got to create something original, all of the creations here rock, I probibly cant create anything unless it uses something that was already created here  :yess:

I need to get a 2n2222 transistor, how much things can that transistor hold? maybe Ill try this out.

not sure, just use 2 to be safe, they are easy to fit. Mabe 3 under the wifi and 1 or 2 in slot next to PB.

Hmmm, If I were to have a medium amount of LEDs (around 15 or 20) and 2 viberatoring motors, you think the transistors, you think it can handle it? Im guessing not alone...

I would say 5 leds to a transistor max.

Pretty sick bro congrats, 3 mods 1 component the possibility's are limitless. Simplicity should always be the main concern when designing anything. Nothing worse than a nonfunctional noneffective overly complicated product hmm iPhone comes to mind lol I hate apple products ipod is the only apple product I will ever spend money on.
