i am a little confused...

i am very confused... here is my problem.  My lappy is having SERIOUS problems with streaming media (youtube and the like) if i go to, say, watch a youtube vid i have to let the vid load all the way before i play it or it... skips (i guess... the vid stops and audio gets all choppy) and i have no idea why... is there any way to check and see whats wrong? (it has a 1.50 ghz processor and 256 mb ram) 

little side note, my friends lappy has roughly the same specs and he can watch vids as soon as he clicks them with no problems... not even slightly...

any help would be appreciated...

no... i have WAY more speed than they do... they have 500kps and i have 3mps.

its the comp itself... i think i may have 2 many processes running...

With RAM and CPU speed like that, you could have 1 thing running and it will drastically slow it down like that...

If it's not internet, it's gotta be that or your OS or something.

meh... all i need before i make my desktop (not too much better 2.2 ghz and 512 mb ram but it was free so ^_^) is an atx case ^_^

edit your startup programs and use a registry cleaner also scan for spyware
