Good PSP SMT 0603 site

Hi everyone on acidmods and as interested in modding electronics as I. Im just putting this up here as informative, but i have just ordered 25 smt 0603 leds from this site with shipping and everything it came out to about 7$ which in my personal opinon is awsome yay  so just posting this site for anyone who likes doing led swaps on thier psp.

yeah i got ultra white i like how the white lights look cant wait to finish modding my psp so i can put it on here all white lights with all black psp its gonna look sick

Wait wait wit, I was just about to start my first trigger LEDs mod, I thought you used the regular looking LEDs and drill holes in the triggers... you used SMT LEDs???

also can I use the regular looking LEDs? how much volts do they need to be? and what size? I don't think I can solder something that small

yea you use 0603 smt leds, normal 5 mm leds are a no way. 3mm is posible but its going to be a pain in the ass. Just buy some smt ones.

How likely am I to screw up the soldering if I only learned today?

also how do I mount them the ONLY way EVER I've seem people do it is use the lamp LEDs and drill holes in the triggers.

unless you got a jewelers eye your going to need a magnifying glass 4x at the least there are alot of diffrent ways on soldering them just search youtube for videos  and make sure you have a fine tip for the soldering iron too it helps alot take your time and you should get the hang of it. your prolly going to burn a couple up witht the soldering iron to so make sure you order extra LEDs just in case i always order in packs of 25 saves a little cash too good luck hope it turns out how you want it

krazyone2006 is absolutley right i always buy stuff online in bulk especially at the price of the smt's on this site but they have all kinds of leds also so i'd just say go peak around in the site and see what you find

so if i want to do sound reactive leds can i just solder them straight to the speaker ports on the mother board

easiest way is to just solder the LEDs to where the speaker wire is already soldered to the speakers i usually run my triggers off the right and the d-pads and ect. off the left just to even it out a bit voltage wise from each speaker

actually the mother board i have is a ta-85 version 1 and i looked for speaker wire on the motherboard and there arent any its use these little hinge type things where the speakers attach to on the motherboard so i dunno im still waiting on my razor x and then all ready to do full install and post pictures
