Wierd led issue
« on: March 09, 2009, 10:23:50 PM »
Well recently one of my trigger leds stopped working so I opened my psp up and it was just a loose wire but then when I resoldered it now the led stays lit with no sound. I'm using the direct connect method. The other led on the left speaker doesnt light up with no sound so im kinda conufsed and annoyed. So I want to know how can I fix this?

Well first, make sure you have audio coming out from the speaker outputs.  Then test out the LED by applying power directly (use a resistor-dont want to burn it out) to them to see if they are working properly.

I don't think you read that right. The issue isn't that the leds arn't working. They both are. My audio is absolutely fine. But my left led stays dimly lit even when there's no audio playing whereas my right led is off when there's no audio.

What colour leds are you using mate? I know that red, orange and yellow leds will have a dim glow because they require less power to work, but the others like blue, green, UV and pink will be completey off. Is the led posistioned correctly in the right trigger? it might have moved when placing it into the hole (i've done that alot).

yeah thats right. Hmmm, check the solder on the led and wherew you soldered to the mobo. it might be that there is a bit of lose solder causing the led to light up.

Alrite. I think that may be the issue because sometimes if I push on the dpad in the right place the led goes to being off when no sound is playing. If it doesn't work then idk :S
