I Need some help here..
« on: March 21, 2009, 07:03:24 PM »
Okay so I found 2 nice stops to place fans in my 360. I dont want to use internal power points. do anyone know what I could use to Run two 12volt fans? Yea it should be in the 360 section but then again no, Just think about if you want to run two 12volt fans on one power source. what would you use. (i dont want internal power cause I don't want to solder right now.

12 volt DC adapter, and wire the fans in parallel.

I was thinking the same thing. Could I also use a Toggle switch to turn on and off the extra fans.

Yep.

Just throw a switch on to it, between the either the common positive or negative wires.

For just one, add a switch to one of the fans' wires.

Okay cool Thank you. One of the fans have a Temp resistor  so when it gets hot the fan speeds up. i thought that would be kinda useful.

LOL I have been telling people this on the 360 board and I get flamed everytime.

rat shack has a selectable transformer, that will supply any voltage you need. they also have a switch with a power plug on it that can be nicely mounted on the back of the 360 and you just plug in the transformer like any other plug..I personally think this is a great idea.

Yea but I would like to go for Cosmetic along with Performance.I think a simple thing like the power plug on a PS2 where I can just do it like that. still working on the idea tho.
