360 controller power points / pinouts? ayone have em?
« on: April 12, 2009, 05:12:57 PM »
hey guys, i was wondering if some one had some pics of where i could pull power from to power 4 leds to go in the dome of the controller. idk if the power sources are different, but if they are, if you could be kind enough to post pics of where to get power from.

i put a 1206 led, its very dim, and i want the led to be on when the controller is on. the led stays on (is dim) even when the controller isnt on. and its a matrix.

matrix is a pain... the switched power supply on the matrix only supplies 2V this is how most chips determine what type of controller they are in.. you need an LED that needs less than 2v forward (good luck) or, add a on/off switch and use the main 3V power source.  on rapid fire controllers, I light the dome to indicate what mode and on/off. but with matrix I cannot do this becouse of the low voltage. I am sure you can get a pull up of some kind to make this work?? but that may be more trouble than it is worth.. I just throw the matrix controllers in the trash i am tyred of them fighting me. LOL

edit:
sory to the point...use any of king mikes rapid fire tuts (pined to the forum page) for the switched power points.

for matrix: there are three unused solder pads on the bottom left of the controler mobo..use the left most one I think.. double check mikes pics

for cg it is the mic's supply terminal

Like the other people said just use the two points by the port where you plug in your headphone. I'm pretty sure this is switched.
