Anyway, this game MAG...... 255 multiplayer FPS...... OMG! I will be getting a PS3 for this.

Thoughts?

yeah , i'm also pretty interested in this. Currently i don't have any next gen console which sucks .... But i'm really leaning towards a ps3 for the future and this game is influencing my decision towards the ps3 . I'm pretty sure this is not possible on the 360

MAG will be awesome

simply because i feel it will be a console FPS that will ACTUALLY use tactics. rather than COD style kamikaze shoot-until-you-die attitude most people have.

OH MY GOD... I have to get a PS3 now. I was leaning towards a 360 before, because of Halo, but now that this game is coming out, on top of pretty much all my friends owning PS3s, I think I'm really gonna get one now...

Think the CoD style is kamikaze? Try KillZone2... Somebody pops out from around a corner (90 degree turn) and shots an enemy two feet away with a rocket launcher. They get +1 for killing you, and -1 for killing themselves. And believe it or not - people do that in ANY match that allows rockets.

But yes MAG will be a wicked game, I can't wait to see what leveling and ranking system they use and if you unlock any better toys as you rank up.

Worst comes to worst, I'll sell one of my 32 PS3 games. >.< I'm really starting to wish I bought used games sometimes....

3. After the reboot, the beta will reconnect and download the actual game data so that you can play (1.8 GB – 2.3 GB depending on your region)

Hell. I'm glad I got the ps3 now. But I doubt I will be vetting the demo since it would take like 3 days to download. But if I have some left over money from Christmas...I might invest in this

ok...so, as I thought MAG was released last week without even a post about it....hahaha playstation fail....any way sorry about that.

I picked up mag on the release date. it is graphically appealing, and the game mechanics are not bad. but its lacking something.....oh yea the 120 players or so that were suppoosed to be a big part of the game. turns out there are two teams, each with four squads easch squad consisting of 16 players for a total of 128 players at once.

in short this is not a bad game. but it has failed miserably to live up to the hype...

you have to work up to the 256. i think you have to be level 8 or level 10. its only in certain game modes.

Yea you have to play the missions you have unlocked to start with, and level up in them then you unlock more missions then you play them and get more exp. Then you unlock the bigger missions. Load time is fast and you can jump into games at any time with your squad mates. The equipment system is difficult because you have to pick specific skill points to unlock items. Two level 25's will not have the same equipment. This however isn't a bad thing it causes you to have to practice and actually think about what style of game play works best for you. However after a certain point you do not even have to kill people. You can level up just as quickly being a repair man, or a medic. Mag is visually good. Not the best, not the worst. Story line is lacking but that is the point. The game is about skill and actually working with your squad. If you like Killzone 2 or Call of Duty and that is the style gameplay you enjoy then MAG isn't the game for you. This post hardly scratches the surface as you level you have the chance to become the leader of your squad, then the platoon and then the army. All of these unlock neat things for your use... Like calling in air strikes. That kill literally hundreds of people.

Mag isn't a run point and shoot first person shooter it requires thought, skill and team work. It is most certainly a buy.
