Anyone good with js/html/css?
« on: April 17, 2009, 06:08:11 PM »
I'm trying to figure out how to make it so you just click a link and it cycles to the next image in a directory.
Can anyone help me out here?

1) Honestly, I have NO clue what you're saying. We speak English here.

2) Uhm no it doesn't help. But, thanks anyway.

Let me elaborate a little...
I need it so I've got ONLY the one static image on the screen, and you're able to click that image and it shows you the next image in a specified folder, regardless of image names.

I'll also need a js/html command or code that will rename a file, and also copy a file.
If someone helps me out with these, then it'll be worth their wild and I'll release this when it's done.
If not, it won't be release =P

Uhm... did I say something wrong?

Honestly, I seriously have no clue what you had said. I got half of it but the other half of the post made no sense...

I'm not poking fun at you, I'm not doing anything of the sort. I just had no clue what you said.

That had nothing to do with any other thread...

Can you stay on topic, please? I'd kinda like this thread to stay clean. If you have some sort of problem then PM me.

Uhm, okay. Thanks for the help.

Anyone else know what I can use?

edit:
Apparently JS has no file manipulation capabilities.
Can PHP do this? Simply.

edit:
ahhh.. haha okay so what I needed this for doesn't support php. So, nevermind. Unless, anyone else has an idea...

Yeah I had seen that, but I thought (I forget why) that you needed something installed for that.
I'll do some testing, though.

Any ideas how I can grab the images?
Even if they're named, for example, Background1, Background2, Background3, and Background4. I know you could set it to grab "Background(variable).jpg" but I don't know the actual code strings needed...

Arggggg this is too confusing...
