I got my ps3 on ebay broken, my plan was send it to Sony to get it fixed up so I didn't have to pay so much for a new one. I actually got a 60gb version for $150 and sent it to Sony to get it fixed for another $150. Normally Sony gives you a 90 day warranty when they fix Ps3's. I bought my Ps3 in early November and had it returned to me late December. Earlier this month (april) my ps3 broke down, it wouldn't display any picture on the screen at all. So I called up Sony and I talked to the customer support representative (I forgot his name) and I told him that I had a ps3 that was fixed by them recently broke. He asked me what was wrong with it and I told him that it wouldn't display any video on the screen. I told him that no matter what the cable I used (hdmi, component, composite, etc) it would not work. I told that I had even switched tv screens and did a hardware reset and it still did not work. He then asked me for my previous support number from before and after searching my email for a little bit I found it. During this whole time he was patient and very nice to me. After talking to me for a bit and putting me on hold to ask the tech group something, he then proceeded to ask me to hook my ps3 to the tv again. We did the rounds and hooked up everything and made sure the tv was on the right channel, and yadda yadda, etc. After trying hdmi and the av cable with no working results he put me on hold again. Now just so you know my ps3 was just slightly out of the 90 day warranty for repaired consoles (about a week or 2 out of warrenty). So wasn't expecting any miracles. When the CSR came back on the phone he said "Okay I'm just going to have you send it back to us and we'll fix it". He told me that he actually kind of had to fight to get them to let me send it in for free. I was amazed, nowhere in the conversation did I ask him to have it fixed for free. I couldn't believe it. I literally jumped for joy of not having to spend another $150 to fix the same console. I have heard of horror stories of customer service, but this came out to be so great I can't believe it happened. How's that for customer service? I know Sony has just gained a lifetime customer.

Wow Sony customer support is nice.Nintendo is mean.I called there customer support n the lady was pissed (I think it was because I asked how to get a sticker off my gamecube)Well i'm saving up for a PS3and if it ever breaks ill call up sony
