undiluted platinum in any psp?

Hey guys I was once told that the undiluted platinum chip could only be put in the 1000's or phat psp's but how come in multiple descriptions about the chip it says that it can be used in even the latest psp systems.  I'm sure you all know where to find this chip but for anyone who doesn't here is one of the descriptions I'm talking about.

It says it in the first three lines.  I just got so excited thinking I could run homebrew on a 3000.  But I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed so I have a hard time believing I would be the first to figure this out.

No. It doesnt work with any other psp's than psp-1000 and you need ta-79 or ta-81 mobo.

To be honest, i dont think anyone ever used that modchip other options were much better.........

Actually people have used it before in the glory days of PSP hacking. Now its not needed because of pandora battery and MMS's are EVERYWHERE. There has to be 1000's of tuts on how to do it lol.

@ Jumbo : As far as i know/heard , software exploits were discovered around the time the UP was suppposed to hit the market and so its appeal went down.... I could be wrong though....
