I was painting my Dreamcast earlier and after I put on the final coat, my dad moved it all over the place (messing it up). Now I am out of paint >.<. He said that he thought it was dry >.<

Now my dreamcast looks worse than before (got it used and it turned yellow from being in a smokey environment) This sucks...

Ask him to get you more paint ? He did mess it up u know ......

your dad is mean... My dad taught me how to solder, taught me how to spraypaint/airbrush last summer, he lets me use his HUGE workbench, paintballs with me, and even took me to a "geek" convention.

Yeah I feel for you guys... My dad can get hot-headed sometimes, but never THAT mean. I mean, most my modding stuff he bought for me =D

But sucks about the paintjob Kilokk. Even if you get more paint, sand it all down a little with like, 600 grit sandpaper first. Good luck...

oh my dad is cool, he just doesn't like it when i say he owes me something... He is physically handicapped (as is my mother) so we live on a fixed income. I buy everything I have (for the most part anyway) and we usually have fun, but its just frustrating that I got to the LAST coat, and it gets screwed up >.<

I am legally an adult , 18 is the adult age here in India too but the problem is that there is a HUGE difference between India n the USA/UK or any western country as such.... I CANNOT get a job to pay for my college tuition fee and so am unfortunately dependent on my parents....

U wont believe it that my dad bought me a cell phone in my birthday last year but did not get me a connection , he then took the cell phone and now has been using it for the past 6 months. I had to buy a phone by spending all my savings and he doesnt know about it only my mum does. My father doesnt really care for my feelings..........

Its not about traditions and customs, its just that i cant afford a place of my own coz i dont have a job and i cant get a job unless i go to college for which i need money that i can only get from my parents and that is why i have to put up with all this

my parents are pretty cool, but randomly they get really pissed at me, and threaten to take my stuff away, but then I remind them that I make my own money and tpretty much own EVERYTHING in my room, except furniture XD
I literally threaten to take their stuff away when they threaten me like that...weird huh
no offense dhruv, your dads sounds worse than anybody I know...and Kilokk, thats weird that he wont buy you a new paint

hmmm... Tell him you'll bee a responsible paintball gun owner, and only shoot it at a stationary target, or at a field. Also, if you haven't already, try enrolling in a hunter safety course to prove that you're responsible to make your own decisions, and prove that you can use a gun properly.

None taken , i've become used to all this....... I currently have nothing. He took away my psp, ps2 (i dont have a current gen console). i've just managed to keep my iPod away.... hmmm... Life is tough...

yes its a dorm. And a tiny one at that lmfao with anywhere between 2 to 6 people sharing the space. I'll have to make do with a laptop and a psp if i do go to a hostel. Arggh.... It'll dash all my hopes for a ps3

Lol sorry if i sound wierd , but where do American College students stay ? Are the colleges so near to residential areas . I do think that you have hostels cause a friend of mine is coming to the us to pursue aerospace engineering from a really good american university and a she is gonna be staying in a hostel /dorm.

well we have dorms but most americans never hear the word hostel in their lives. There are so many differences to the 2 that i just say that we dont have them... Usually we only have 1 or 2 and in some cases 3 to a dorm (one room not the whole thing) and you can pretty much do what you want in them. My older cousin's dorm is basically an apartment.

Work in four hours, no sleep, on carts... need more dew...

We have too many rules here in dorms. No tv , some don't even allow cell phones. I wanted to go to the us or uk for college but can't afford it. But hopefully for m.tech ....
