finially after my case went bad... i got a new one. i went to frys earler today to look for a new hdd but they didnt have anything for the price i wanted or the size. so i went to look at the cases and i got this Antec 300

total price was 56 dollars and some change so yea w/e.

Sorry no during pics. i didnt have the cam.

i do have a prob though. the 2 front usb ports work but the audio ports dont :\ i looked at the plug and i looked at my mobo and the mobo seems to be missing 1 prong so idk. any help?

i did that stealth drive thing and switched the hdd so you cant see the wires

hmm antec 300

it is certainly a good case for cooling your stuff.
But tbh i don't like the looks of it, and you probably won't be able to connect the Power On led to the motherboard, because they didnt make the wire long enough (so you would have to solder some wire to it) and the power on and reset buttons probably feel very cheap.

As i said, i don;t like the case, but for cooling it is perfect.
You enough room to install Hdd's, graphics card etc..

Anyway, a case is something personal, you can't tell people what case is nice because people have different styles, and like different things.

actually the power led or the hdd works. lol idk which one is which. i jsut know 1 of them blinks(guessing the hdd) well the power button is actually nice for me. i was going for an all black theme with no window so yea. just some vents where my cathodes would be shining out of.

well can anyone help me with the front audio ports?

ok so on the bottom of your mobo or somewhere across the back there will be a port that will match your audio plug

mine was in between the PCI slots

you audio jack should have 2 plugs on it, one will say HD ADD and the other will say AC'97 or something like that.

plug one of them in and see witch one works. you can also look at the manual that came with your mobo and it should tell you ware your audio port is.

you also need to put a window in that bad boy. you can do it your self or Bill Owen over at mnpctech dose it on the 300 for something like $40.00

yea i did that tec. but they still dont work. i tryed both plugs and nothing :\. i dont have the manuals cause i bought my comp off of a friend.

oh i don tthink i should get a window lol. i dont have no good parts to show off. only my led fans and cold cathodes ahah

any other suggestions to fix my audio?

go to your mobo copanys web site and see if they have a online manual. maybe your missing a driver or your cable is bad? did it work in your last case?

my last case the front ports were :censored:ed up thats why i bought a new case. the usb works but the audio ones dont idk why. i jsut took apart my comp fixed it up

did a lil cable mangement and moved my cold cathodes etc

if i can find the cam ill take some pics.

sounds like if it didnt work in your last case that your on board sound might be shot.

thing is i really dont know if it worked or not on my last case cause the ports were f'ed up. like if i try to plug a usb cord in it wouldnt even go in

ok so on page 14 you need to plug the front panel in to A its marked in yellow on page 14.

as far as the drivers just download them and run the .exe

well i 1/2 fixed the prob. the font audio ports work now. but my speakers dont...

what should i do now? dont use the front ports at all or use them?

well i dled the driver. installed yada yada. pluged my headphones into the front ports. they work yay. but theres no sound coming out of my speakers :\. i have this usb dongle that gives off 3d sound(for counter strike) and i plugged my headphones and my speakers in.

well i uninstalled it and decided im just not gonna use the front audio ports. only the usb ports

no im not using the jack ont he back of the pc.

im using this plantronics 3d sound usb dongle i got with my headset. i plugged a slpitter into the headphone part. i connected 1 port with an aux cord to my speakers and the other port i plugged the headset in

buy you need to stick to one color, I have said this in many places, and having multiple colors like that on a comp looks sloppy

the only colors i have are blue and green.

lol dude those fans arent blue. they are green. i put the cathodes near the fan so it kinda made it blue. the front and side fans are green. the back fan and top fan are black.

im getting some more cathodes soon. idk what color though. blue or green?
im gonna have it sound reactive too. i have 2 8" subs right next to my tower so i know itll work great

we need to get you some cable sleeves and work on that cable management. and i don't care how cheep you say your parts are you need to get a window in your case.

well on my list are some things.

new psu with cables already sleved.
cpu cooler?(maybe
new hdd
some more cathodes that are sound reactive.

well i jsut went to frys and got a new psu. 500 watt apevia java power.

just installed it. took about 1 hr. did a major cable management and moved the cathodes.

HURRY TELL ME WHAT COLOR CCFLS I SHOULD GET. uv, green or blue? IM BOUT TO ORDER THEM IN A LIL!!!!!!!!!!
