umd not reading help

i just changed the housing on my psp phat and everything works great except for the umd reader.  when i put a umd in it spins, the laser turns on, and that is it.  the umd just keeps spinning and never loads.  Any help welcome

could be a loose ribbon cable or not all the contacts are.. well making contact.
