Ok so with OS 3.0 coming out next week, I want to know what you guys think about it. Will anyone be downloading it the second it is released, or will you wait until the jailbreak is official? Are their any features that are coming out that you want VERY bad? Is it worth it for you?

well my iphone currently isnt official so until i get a new iphone in september i will be waiting for the jailbreak. and if i didnt have to wait for a jailbreak i would download it the second it was out

I'll be downloading it the second it comes out.
I'll mess with it for a few days, and depending on whether I like it or not I'll either keep it or downgrade back to 2.2.1 jailbroken.

if its an iphone you got you need to be careful with the baseband incase it upgrades it. also it cost $10 for ipod touch

i'll just wait for the next iphone next year or wait for the expected mac tablet because the 3gs doesn't appeal much to me and i don't have much cash to spare either !

Well, I can tell you now Jailbreaking is close to being dead, basically the only thing keeping it alive is Basically Emulators, roms etc.

Back to topic. Yes I am going to upgrade straight away, yet going to back up everything. The main the thing I am looking forward to app sharing and bluetooth

dont forget unlocking and i think it may get a bit of a spike from older model iphones in order to add features from the new os etc that they cant use

I Guess, but Unlocking wasn't That big or great, most people had an official one anyway.

i updated it just now, runs so smooth

looks awesome, just getting O2 to enable MMS for me and ill be set. copy and paste works so well, everything is just streamlined and smooth.

umm... That looks like the cydia app iphone 3.0... It has 6 3.0 icons on it. I am not saying that you are lying, I am just saying that that is what it looks like to me. Would you mind posting a FW pic? cause if it is possible I wanna download the iTouch version and check it out lol

That is fake^ the mobile sms etc. has bigger scan lines.

I would like to believe you and all, just your screenshot doesn't have the compass app. and the beta's that the where sent out to the people with the Dev Cards or w/e where hardcoded/registered to the persons iPhones/iPod Touch's. As Far as I know. Prove me wrong, don't take it in the wrong way.

Edit: I would just like to say that OS 3.0 has been jailbroken since the first beta, and ripdev are basically set to release PwnageTool for 3.0

lucas it wont have the compass app unless he has the 3gs as the current iphones dont have a compass. the screenshot of the compass app that leaked were on demo 3gs's
