okay i want to do a 2n2222 blue trigger mod in a black psp but i dont know if i need a resistors

these are the led im using have these Technical Spec
Source Material: InGaN
Emitting Colour: Blue
Emitting Wavelength (nm): 460-470
Size: 1.2 x 0.8 mm
Intensity (mcd): 80-110
Viewing Angle (deg): 20
Forward Voltage (mA): 3.0-3.6
Forward Current (V): 20-30
 also dose anyone know where 3.6 +v is on the slim

You shouldn't need a resistor for the 2n2222 mod. I don't believe the original creator (folklord) used resistors for leds with a forward voltage of 3+.

Usually is most cases you don't need to worry about resistors for the 2n2222 method on slim. Also make sure you get 0603 size LEDS, you may be able to get away with slightly larger but 0603 is highly recommended. I only say this because you say the LEDs are 3-3.6v LEDs which sounds awfully high for 0603.

As for resistors, if your not sure you can always use a LED calculator (google it).

But if your serious about modding it's probably s good idea to learn electronics math or more popular known as Ohm's Law. Just remember I = V * R, R = V/ I

47 ohm is probably good.

By the way Elite, 3v isn't high for a blue led -.-

No matter the size of the LED, they're all going to take the same current... Lol.
