OK, well I've been putting this off for a while, but here are some of the pics of one of my PSPs... you guys should recognize this one...

what it's got:
USB Charge Mod
Blue Power LED swap
Red Charge LED swap
Blue Triggers for Power circuit with Hold mod
Red Triggers for Charge circuit
Push Activated Face Button Mod
White with Black Dragons Camy Pro Gear FacePlate Prototype

it looks like the face buttons always have leds on in them, and when pushed they go brighter? am i seeing it right?

thanks, I just recently took that one apart again, and removed all those mods, gotta make way for new ones (that's my 'workhorse' all my modding is done to that one for the most part), gonna do a UMD door mod, wifi and MS LED swaps, push activated triggers, Razor Nub (when I get the test unit), working on lots of stuff in the future... so it doesn't look like that anymore...

Yes because of the way that the circuit is set up there is always a small amount of voltage going through the LEDs (like 1.5v), and then when the button is pushed it gets brighter, this is why the red and orange are brighter when not in use, 1.5v is very close to their operating voltage, where as the blue and green are more dim because 1.5v is much lower than their operating voltage. I had originally thought that this was an issue with mcd differences, but found that it was actually a voltage issue, and I kinda like having them lit up most of the time so I left it and never resolved the issue (I made several attempts, but was unable to come up with a solution that would actually fit inside the PSP easily using the parts that I had at my disposal). Ultimately the true solution is to do the math for each LED and use the proper resistor for each one, but as my resources were limited, I wasn't able to get resistors of the proper size and resistance values and actually get it all to fit inside the PSP, it can be done and in the near future I will complete the mod and get the LEDs to be completely off when not being pushed, but at the moment development of the mod has come to a stand-still...

jrf, how did you manage the push activated part of it? I've made mine one way, but it lacks finesse. How did you manage with yours?

...you already got the white camy faceplate???it isnt supposedly out till july 5th...is it cause you're a mod and did the faceplate review...aawww i want that one soooo bad

it would look killer on my new white psp  :dribble:
but when it comes out ill most likely be on vacation...

he got it when he reviewed it.

The LED mod is cool, and with white buttons, you could have the LED shine through them, if you drilled far enough.

Yes I got the Camy plate when I did the review, I do all the reviews for Camy, so I'm kinda like a product tester, I usually get all the new plates before they come out...

the colors of the LEDs in the buttons correspond with the colors of the original Playstation symbols, the [],O,X,/\, that was the idea...

what he means is after you have uploaded your photo to a site like imageshack

you paste the direct link to the image in to your reply then you either highlight it and press this button or you put [ img] at the beginning of the link and [ /img] at the end of the link (without the spaces)/

mine doesnt have any scratches andi use it everyday, im just reall carefull with it and baby it alot

Thanks Deda, the Cage needs to be cut to get a nice fit.

As it says in the thread the links to, im getting new Doors, these are both prototypes, im not sure if i like the blue, its a bit dark, but LED's need to be added.

The white one's scratched from sandpaper getting the whole smooth, but both from wear and tear.

They'll look sweet when i add Red and Blue LED's, and get the both to OE!

im not sure if i like the swap, the white on looks good, but the black one looks a bit weird, its the MS cover really, the 'PUSH' button is fine.
