just the sound reactive leds so far.
what mod should i do next?
any ideas on a simple mod? :P:P:P

Very nice... I would recommend you to put sound reactive leds in speaker holes.. Easy to do and looks wicked

and im thinking of changing the leds on the triggers to orange or red or green

Nah dunno.. I made them for myself and didn't really notice any diffrence in sound.. And psp speakers are not that great to worry about the sound quality. Leds or no, its still pretty crappy

About leds i'd say green are awesome, don't really like red ones and have not tried with orange but i think they are cool... So green or orange

i already ordered the leds and wire online :P
btw, is it normal for a psp to have a noise in the umd drive when the psp is turned on? its like its spinning the disc to fast or something

Yeah seriously, where did you get that case from? i've never seen a smoke black psp 1000 case before. Looks good so far. Personally, i'd change the buttons over to the OEM black ones. it would look better on that case. You could add a loud speaker to the UMD door if your not using the umd drive. thats pretty simple to do

It's a good faceplate, however I don't think the camera has done it justice tho.

As for the led colour choice, Orange, white or green would be the best in my opinion. Blue would work, but SO many modders have done that already. I really like the idea of orange lighting, maybe with a black trim and UMD ring.

Maybe it's just me, but if you're not putting a jewel in then I would cut out the UMD drive casing that shows in the middle of the metal ring on the back. Did that make any sense?

Also if you're UMD drive is still making noise then just play around with the little metal bay the actual UMD slides into. That was too tight on mine and it sounded like the thing was trying to take flight. Just make sure it doesn't look like it's bulging or anything.

GUYS! I GOT MY LEDS!
I think i might go with green leds though.
i put a 8ohm speaker and took out the umd drive out.

is it okay if i did not use any resistors.
and is it okay to not use resistors for the leds? im adding about 6-8 :P

EDIT:
So i finished it up but instead of putting 8 i put 10 blue ones and 6 green ones then added a switch so when i flip it all the green ones work then when i flip it going to the other direction all the blue ones work. they're all direct contact sound reactive. i also have a new speaker on the back and my umd drives gone :P.
