Hello, i'm new on this forums, and i want to expose you a problem i have with my Phat.

Well, i bought it from a friend of mine a few months ago (6 i guess), and the sound from speakers wasn't working. I thought that it could be a soldering problem in the audio jack, or some dirty connections, so I tried cleaning it, it didn't work. The solder points were ok, and if I connect headphones to the audio jack it would work. So I just gave up at that point, and bought a portable speaker (one of those that work with 2 AA batteries, and go plugged into the audio jack).

But today, i was playing some game, and using cwcheat, then i wanted to change the config of the keys and i found something: When I tried to change the keys, It always shows me that the audio remote is working, and the interesting fact is that when i plug the remote, the keys of it don't work. So i think that the problem is there, in the remote jack.

I want to know if anyone has had the same issue.

hi there and welcome to acidmods...

i have the same problem with one of my phat a while ago...

i think you better check your wifi board to your mobo...

the isue with mismatch mobo to wifi board is you don't have audio but you do have on your headset..

better check it buddy...hope it helps..

I guess you have to bridge the speaker fuse. Google it.

Speaker fuse are slim only? What?? I got a phat and I did the backlight fuse and I'm quit sure that they said that you can bridge the speaker fuse if you have that problem for phat.

^^ Yea, there is no fuse for the internal speakers on the PSP 1000 (unless none that we know), its only in the slims unfortunately. PSP Phat only have Power, USB, and Backlight fuse.

hey buddy have you checked you it mobo and wifi?

and if you do and they are match and still have no sounds...better try this one out

well trying that one out is your last resort buddy...

and consider the the model of ur mobo before doing that different model needs

different soldering..try to back read my post regarding with sound issue...

if you have ta-79- ta-81 mobo.. you should have a slim type wifi board..
but if you have a fat wifi board.. youll only have audio when pluging an external/headphone on the jack..

make shure both SPEAKERS are pluged in on the mobo. cause i was trying to mod my psp speakers and i learned when one is unplugged that neither work. but they both work when you have them plugged in

i have one speaker in and it works just fine........ weird??
