Make xbox 360 fan quieter?

I'm new to xbox's so I don't know much about them so don't bash me for asking a simple question  I just got an elite on ebay but the fan is super loud when playing games and watching movies.  Is there any way I can make it quieter WITHOUT voiding the warranty?  I don't want to take it apart if I have to but I only want to do it as a last resort.

Not without restricting airflow. And if it's super loud, then it seems like it has the 12v fan mod done to it already

Well...to make sure it has the 12V mod..take of the faceplate and check if the warranty sticker is still there. (you're allowed to take it off {just making sure you know lol}) If its not there then it most likely has the 12V mod and no warranty..if thats the case I suggest you buy Talismoon Whisper Fans :

you can get them in diff LED colours, while your at it you might as well install some Aurora vent lights:

Thats IF there is no warranty...but even though there may be a sticker check the serial code online at xbox.com...or contact the previous owner and find out if there is any warranty left...it may have run out. The only real way to make it quieter is to swap the stock fan with the whisper...sorry :S

Yea i recommend Talismoon Whisper Fans i installed them in my 360 and the work great. There not load and they come with leds in them as Max_Kreeger mentioned.
