controller documentation
« on: July 18, 2009, 07:29:16 PM »
I'm fairly new to the 360 scene. Does anyone have documented test points, vias, resistors, etc... to connect to all of the buttons, LEDs, etc? I'm wanting to mess around with my controller, and I didn't want to re-invent the wheel, if anyone was willing to share their hard work. Thanks!

Thanks so much for the info. I've been pouring through it all. A couple of questions:
What voltage ranges do these controllers run at? I'm assuming the wired runs at 5V (USB), but what voltage do the wireless controllers work down to, since I've seen posts mention that the voltage goes down low enough for some mod chips to not work?

And about how low do they get before the controller stops working?

I would have to double check but I think the controllers shut off when battery voltage is around 2V.... 2.1V comes to mind but like I said I would have to double check.

Are the buttons 5V tolerant? 3.3V tolerant? does anyone know? I'm planning on running my micro around 3.3V, and don't want to burn up my controller the first time I try it.
