ok so you might know my other threde but this is a diff prop. ok so b4 i replaced the laser it would read and play games till it wouldnt read. so i replaced the laser and now it will read stuff but when i put a game in it says play dvd and goes to the but this in a 360 screen. i also cleand the ens with my ge lens cleaner disk. any hep?

Your firmware is outdated, update to the latest iXtreme or orignal, whichever you prefer.

how do i update the origanal? do i log onto xbl?

Im not positive with original firmwares, but give it a shot.

just got it working, just needed to open and close it

my 360 does the same thing, as in when i put certain games in it will say play dvd. more specificaly halo 3. its not the disc because ive tried 3 different ones, and it will work about 1 out of every 100 tries on it, but cod it works just like normal.
