0603 help
« on: August 26, 2009, 09:22:16 PM »
Hey guys, I was wondering what kind of resistor to use if I'm using 2 blue 0603 led's. I tried this resistor calculator but i didn't know mow much volts it needed or the current( mA i think?) And I read it was 10 ohm resistor, but I thought that was kinda low.
Also, I was about to order some soldering flux, then I stumbled upon some soldering paste. So I'm not sure on which one to buy. Which ones better for smd soldering? Whats the difference?

Flux is the same thing as soldering paste, just different words for it really.

For resistor, can i have some data on the leds? I usually have 25mA and most blue leds (MOST!) run good at 3.0-3.4volts.

I'm not sure on the leds, I don't have any info on them. It was graciously donated to me for my first mod (>< which as supposed to be well over a year ago, but never got to it cause of some personal dilemmas) So I'm not sure on the led part. Sorry. :dntknw:

I don't need anymore. I got some already. I just don't know any info on them.
EDIT: I forgot to say which spot i will be using for the power. I'll be using the 5V spot lordnic's using in his sound reactive leds mods. The on right above the analog stick. And which is better to run the leds? parallel or in series?
