depends on what drive you have but for the most part you need a sata controller card

The tools required for flashing are:
SATA Cable,power source for the dvd drive such as this one,unless you want to have your xbox on. or you can buy one of these bad boys:

Then you need A few application: JungleFlasher, and DOSflash.
